I’ll Have An Egg, Please.

After my last post on the benefits of water, I got an amazing link to a story on NPR about the incredible way the egg has been created.

Surely by now everyone has heard of the massive recall of eggs for salmonella.  There are a lot of questions floating around about egg safety, and salmonella in general.  Things like, “Why are they recalling eggs?  Can’t we just cook them well and kill the bacteria?”  Good question.  And, “Don’t all chickens carry salmonella anyway?” And (to me), “You REALLY don’t wash your eggs ?” and “You REALLY leave your eggs out on the counter??”

This is a nice, three-minute audio clip that explains why I love my chickens and would recommend raising your own chickens (if you can).

That was great to listen to. Thanks for posting that. I definitely am glad that we raise our own chickens for laying eggs.

    Have a great day.
