It was an…. interesting Christmas. We spent Christmas morning in the Emergency Room with two sick children. It actually kind of made us slow down a little and not get swept into the frantic excitement of Christmas. Garrett had been sick for a week and although he’d seemed to be getting better, he definitely got worse on Christmas Eve. Cassandra had just started running a fever and complaining of achiness and a sore throat so we took her along too, since we already had to go! After several tests, no strep, no pneumonia, just an ear infection and upper resp. infection for Garrett and a viral something for Cassandra. We were sent home with an antibiotic for Garrett and instructions for round the clock motrin and tylenol for both. Garrett fell asleep on the ride back to Carter’s parents and crawled into bed when we got there. He resurfaced after lunch and just in time to open presents.
